There are some nerf bars that fit your 1998 Chevy K2500 regular cab, but I checked with each manufacturer individually and there are no running boards - which are up closer to the frame of the vehicle - whatsoever for the regular cab, and only cab-length nerf bars exist. The running boards for a 2020 Ram 2500 and 1500 are different fits so you'll need new nerf bars for the 1500.
